To get setup for MSISDN Enrichment for Single Click on Sonera the following must be enabled:
1 HTTP header enrichment (MSISDN forwarding)
The service provider needs to provide the DNS name where the Service is situated. For example: m.yourdomain.com. Sonera adds the MSISDN to the header first in the header row.
2. IP Configurations
Sonera’s header enriched traffic is coming from the following IP-address range: [184.108.40.206/16 ] and [220.127.116.11/16]. Please add to your firewall.
3. Testing the HTTP header enrichment (MSISDN forwarding).
After txtNation has informed Sonera about service domain(s) and Sonera has informed txtNation that it is ok to test the service can be tested. If the header is shown ‘HTTP header enrichment test is concluded and can now be setup with Mobile Billing for end user charging.

More and more social and dating sites are starting to realise the potential of Mobile Billing. More recently, txtNation are working with several of the largest dating sites who have rolled out with operator billing.
Most are finding its use on mobile websites and apps where it is most effective. Many that include it for their desktop sites also find it has a far greater spend than credit card. With most mobile users taking advantage of both one time and subscription payments using mobile billing it’s no wonder its popularity is soaring and is being seen as a better alternative than credit card.
txtNation has signed an agreement to provide Mobile Billing services to a leading online social and dating networking service.
The agreement follows successful technical integration and includes txtNation’s Mobile Billing services where txtNation provides direct operator billing across multiple markets.
Michael Whelan, txtNation CEO comments: “I am pleased to see the roll out of another social and dating service using our direct operator billing connections. Social and dating is one of the high growth verticals and I see this contract as another testimony of txtNation’s position of being a leader in this area of Mobile Billing. txtNation’s mobile billing service flows and direct coverage are proving to be a good fit for this market.”
txtNation has signed agreements with several of the largest social services in the last year.

txtNation’s Jason Shaw attended the recent PPP seminar, 24th June 2015, discussing how these Special conditions will take effect and be enforced under the new Code. Key points can be found below:
- All aggregators have been advised to wait until the statement is issued before any changes or implementations are made. This will be out this week.
- The main issue was they are planning on removing 2 of the 12 special conditions and any service categories that use higher tariffs will for now NOT be under special conditions.
- They are also working on a proposal to remove conditions for voice based Text charge services.
- One contentious point was the cost indicators on voice calls. As Ofcom and PPP are allowing charges up to £45 they want alerts on £15 and actual customer affirmation on £30.
- The service operators are saying that few people have the actual systems to implement this. This subject will be ongoing. The MNO’s still only allow £30.

As well as sponsoring the event, we where active on the panels and presentations which had focus on Direct billing in the UK market to which many service providers and other aggregators where present.
One of the more interesting topics focused around the future of direct operator billing – aka Charge to Bill in the UK Payforit and moving into physical products which was contributed to by many of the networks and aggregators. Some photos from the show can be seen below:
