To get setup for MSISDN Enrichment for Single Click on Sonera the following must be enabled:

soneralogo

1 HTTP header enrichment (MSISDN forwarding)

The service provider needs to provide the DNS name where the Service is situated. For example: m.yourdomain.com. Sonera adds the MSISDN to the header first in the header row.

2. IP Configurations

Sonera’s header enriched traffic is coming from the following IP-address range: [188.238.0.0/16 ] and [109.240.0.0/16]. Please add to your firewall.

3. Testing the HTTP header enrichment (MSISDN forwarding).

After txtNation has informed Sonera about service domain(s) and Sonera has informed txtNation that it is ok to test the service can be tested. If the header is shown ‘HTTP header enrichment test is concluded and can now be setup with Mobile Billing for end user charging.

With more and more Mobile Operators (MNO’s) changing their strategy and plans to partner with Over-the-Top (OTT) players such Facebook and WhatsApp, txtNation has already begun to bridge this gap between the operators and the service providers.

  • Nearly all MNO’s see the advantages in OTT and being part of the action.
  • Over 3/4 of MNO’s want OTT partnerships to bolster revenues.
  • Nearly half of MNO’s want to partner with Facebook and WhatsApp.

With P2P voice and SMS messaging revenues in decline over recent years, network operators are needing to look to alternative revenue sources.

Mobile operators need to change their role in the SMS messaging market, here is why:

OTT SMS

txtNation is partnering with OTT service providers worldwide in a bid to become their one stop service provider.

Over the last several years txtNation has been building up its messaging and billing footprint to facilitate such service models, highlighting chat and dating as the fastest growth area. txtNation are currently working with many OTT providers across mobile messaging and several social services across mobile operator billing.

Making use of txtNation’s Virtual Mobile Numbers (aka. long numbers) and enabling multi-communications, true two-way interaction is now possible for OTT application developers worldwide.

txtNation CEO, Michael Whelan comments “We have added significantly to our coverage in Virtual Mobile and SMS routing over the past year, tying up deals with many worldwide network operators. We will continue to build on this growth and coincide this with existing technologies like short codes.

My vision is simple; the future of the phone number being virtual and to enable Voice activation alongside SMS, building on our successes and bringing MNO’s back into the mix! Making them relevant for such high growth OTT services.”

txtNation want to change the way in which operators participate in OTT, allowing users to take complete control of their messaging and voice flow across all communication channels, giving the mobile customer the choice on how to develop their conversations.

Earlier this year, we launched our Russian Mobile Operator Billing solution, enabling businesses to take advantage of our high payouts and easy integration. Now, we look at key information about the market and discuss reasons to operate there, through mobile.

The Market:
With the highest mobile penetration of all the BRIC countries, at 162.36%, and a population of over 143 million, Russia is a big market to enter. Having experienced a lot of growth in the usage of mobile internet in recent years, 31.4% of Russians accessed the web on their handsets last year, which is up on 21% in 2012 and 17% in 2011.

In Russia, the majority of mobile internet users are 18-24 year olds, followed closely by 25-34 year olds. This is a key demographic for mobile payments. Credit card payments can cause high drop-off rates, due to the long payment process on mobile, so our Mobile Operator Billing solution can solve this.

The Solution:
txtNation can offer mobile web optimised payments in Russia with a seamless payment process. We can offer a large tariff range from 1rub to 5000rub as well as full technical and compliance support and dedicated account management to ensure an easy setup process.

Our Mobile Operator Billing solution allows a user to simply enter their mobile number and be charged to their contract or pre-paid credit.

Single Click:
With MSISDN forwarding, we can offer single-click mobile payments. The user’s mobile number is detected, and they therefore cut out one step of the process. They can simply click a button to pay. This is only available through application on the MTS network.

Last week we launched ‘Single-Click’ billing in Ireland enabling merchants to offer a mobile web optimised flow to their customers. In our infographic below, we show you why this form of payment is key to growing your business.

With a population of 4.5 million, and a smartphone penetration rate of 53%, this is a strong market to enter. Statistics also show that 82% of 18-24 year olds in Ireland own a smartphone, with 79% of 25-35 year olds and 29% of over 55s.

In response to the growing use of mobile internet in Ireland, txtNation has launched its optimum mobile billing solution for the mobile web, ‘Single-Click’ payments. The new service enables customers to pay with one click, being charged to their phone bill or pre-paid credit.

With a population of over 4.5 million, Ireland currently has a smartphone penetration of 53%, compared to 39% in late 2012. On top of this, more than one in four people in Ireland has access to a tablet, driving commerce on devices.

Recent statistics also show that 82% of 18-24 year olds in Ireland own a smartphone, compared to 79% of 25-35 year olds and 29% of over 55s. 18-35 year olds are a key demographic for mobile payments, highlighting the opportunity for business growth through m-commerce.

txtNation enables mobile payments in Ireland in partnership with the mobile networks; Vodafone and O2, providing the interface as a gateway to the platform via mobile operator billing. Merchants are able to customise the payment window to suit the rest of their website.

The billing window is customisable. The above is an example.

This follows the launch of ‘Single-Click’ payments in Sweden and the UK and is part of the award-winning company’s push to provide optimum mobile billing solutions for the mobile web in a number of countries.

txtNation’s Irish ‘Single-Click’ mobile payment solution detects the user’s mobile number through MSISDN forwarding, then accessed on a mobile web connection. This then enables the customer to click one button to pay.

Michael Whelan, txtNation CEO said “We are delighted to be able to offer ‘Single-Click’ billing in Ireland. Mobile web optimised payment solutions are key to growth through mobile as they offer the best possible customer experience, greatly increasing conversion rates.”

To get set up its as simple as declaring your URL(s) to txtNation. We will then white list them with the mobile networks.
