Our new billing solution mENABLE Widget, which is becoming more and more popular with our clients for its ease-of-use, now provides dynamic pricing tools, allowing websites to send pricepoints to the Widget on-the-fly.

In the past, if you had many different goods or services in your inventory, you would need to use either a different Widget for each item, or a drop-down menu in the Widget, listing all these set prices. This is fine for small inventories, but not useful if you have many services on offer or if prices change regularly or per transaction.

Now, you can use a simple API to send pricing direct to the Widget. This means one Widget on your site and no lengthy drop-down menus to wade through.

The API is also useful if you want to build your own shopping cart or extend an existing one. When a customer buys multiple items from you, the total value of the goods can be sent dynamically to the Widget.

The Widget Dynamic Tools API is available right now and we’re actively working on other APIs to give you better control over the Widget.

We’re delighted to announce that we won the ‘Best Billing Provider’ category at the Mobile Advertising and Marketing Awards 2009! The prestigious ceremony took place in London on Thursday, attended by the great and the good of the mobile world.

Our founding directors were in attendance that night and relayed the news to the team at txtNation HQ. We couldn’t be happier that all the hard work with our billing platform has gained this recognition.

The award particularly recognises our work on the recently-launched mENABLE Widget, a streamlined billing product that includes SMS, credit card and phone billing in one neat interface.

The award is validation that the newest product to our platform is on course to be a real winner for our clients’ sites. The hard work isn’t over though: we’ve still got lots of plans for improving the Widget and related products such as the main mENABLE, as well as our mBILL billing and messaging API.

The Widget now includes credit card and IVR phone billing options. To complement the existing SMS gateway, these additional options give your customers more choice when they choose to pay for your goods or services.

IVR uses automated phone lines that bill your customer directly to their phone. It’s a truly international option, popular across the world for its ease-of-use and not dependent on specific country support. IVR works everywhere.

Credit card offers a more traditional payment gateway for customers who are unable or unwilling to use SMS or IVR. All these options are configurable through our control panel. Remember, you have the option of using any combination of SMS, IVR or credit card for your campaigns.

We learned today that we’ve been nominated in the ‘Best Billing Provider’ category at the prestigious Mobile Advertising and Marketing Awards, to be held in London on May 7th 2009. The nomination is principally for the work we’ve done on the Widget, which consolidates our experience of mobile and online billing over the years. We’re honoured that even at this early stage in the life of the Widget, we’ve received such an exciting nomination.

Behind-the-scenes we’re putting the final touches to the massive effort to translate the Widget. We’ll soon support many major languages in addition to English. The ability to localise your billing platform for international markets is really important.

It builds trust with your members or consumers and improves usability. In countries where English is hardly spoken at all, the whole country is opened up.

We’re adding language support for tongues as various as Albanian, Bulgarian, Greek, Italian, Spanish, Finnish, and Russian, opening the billing tool up to millions more customers.

We’ll release a full list of support languages once the translation phase has been completed.

A large part of the Widget’s development will be about getting our clients’ feedback, as well as getting the views of those who are thinking about joining txtNation for the first time. We are passionate about the Widget, and the streamlined way in which we’re going to offer better billing for your site. (Not to mention all the amazing things we have in the pipeline).

We are gearing up to launch our new Widget, powered by our mENABLE billing platform. The Widget is a substantially streamlined version of mENABLE that allows anyone with basic technical skills to accept payments for goods and services (including web site access) on their blog, online store, or other web site. We’re going to start with the launch of SMS billing, with IVR (phone) and credit card to follow soon after.

It’s easy to integrate and we take care of the billing side for you. You will need to take the payment notification, sent to your server when the user has made a payment, and use it to activate their access or despatch their goods. You’ll need some basic server skills to do this or you can request help from our support and development teams, who will be happy to integrate the Widget for you for a small fee.
